David Hayter: Guys, I’m really not in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Well, abandon hope, Metal Gear fans: David Hayter is not making some surprise comeback at Snake in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Fans were hoping that Hayter would return as one Solid Snake in the game, alongside current (Big Boss) Snake voice Kiefer Sutherland.

Those fans will be disappointed. Hayter took to Twitter to silence the rumours once and for all, saying, “Guys, For the millionth — and last — time. I am not in Metal Gear V. In any way. At all. No joke. Just not. True story. Best, DH”

The tweet has since been removed.

Does a lack of gravelly-voiced Hayter in The Phantom Pain turn you off the game?
