Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition heading to current-gen

Nordic Games today confirmed that Darksiders II: Definitive Edition is heading to current-gen consoles this summer.

The release is the first step in Nordic’s vow to “take care of the existing games” in the Darksiders franchise, perhaps paving the way for a release of the original Darksiders at a later date. Nordic purchased the rights to the franchise in the wake of THQ’s collapse.

The updated version of Darksiders II will run at 1080p and has had other gameplay adjustments made by Gunfire Games, a studio made up of former Vigil Games staffers. Vigil Games developed the original Darksiders titles.

All DLC will be included with this version.

Nordic also asserted that they’ll be working on all-new Darksiders games in the future.

Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition will be made available on PS4 and Xbox One this summer.
