Darksiders Genesis goes top-down with Horseman Strife

Darksiders Genesis was the first of three games to be confirmed by publisher THQ Nordic ahead of E3 2019.

The fourth game in the franchise, Darksiders Genesis will introduce the “first gunslinging Horseman of the Apocalypse,” Strife alongside a dramatic change to a top-down view rather than the behind-the-shoulder camera used in past titles. Judging from promotional imagery, the original Darksiders‘ War looks to feature quite heavily as well.

Darksiders Genesis kicks off a completely fresh direction for the Darksiders franchise, including a new gameplay style, the introduction of Strife — the fourth and final horseman – and so much more,” said Joe Madureira, co-creator of Darksiders and CEO of Airship Syndicate.

“The team at Airship is very eager to get Darksiders Genesis into the hands of fans at next week’s E3 show in Los Angeles!”

You can check out your first glimpse of Darksiders Genesis below. The title heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4, Switch and Stadia later this year.
