Dark Souls Remastered cross-platform play isn’t meant to be

Dark Souls Remastered will not support cross-play between Xbox One, PS4, PC and Switch, Bandai Namco has confirmed.

The publisher told IGN that Dark Souls: Remastered “will not have cross-platform play” after rumours of the feature began to spread.

Dark Souls: Remastered was announced last week — alongside beefed up visuals, the game’s PvE and PvP online co-op environments will be expanded to allow for six players. It looks like you’ll be stuck with other players on your same platform.

Dark Souls: Remastered heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch on 25 May.
