Cyberpunk 2077 is pre-alpha; we “can wait a few more years”

Cyberpunk 2077 is still pre-alpha, CD Projekt Red has confirmed.

Speaking with Polish publication Bankier, CD Projekt Red President, Adam Kiciński, said the game was “earlier [than alpha]. Therefore, we show the game behind closed doors – this is not the final quality yet.”

Kiciński also added that CD Projekt Red focused on the small part of the world we saw behind closed doors to ensure it looked fabulous.

“This is the most polished part of the game we have now, prepared in some sense to show it to people outside the company,” he said.

Speaking with YouTuber YongYea at E3 2018, Cyberpunk 2020 creator Mike Pondsmith said, “I’ve waited 30 years to get this, it was worth it.

“You guys can wait a few more years.”

The aforementioned Cyberpunk 2020 will give you a paper-and-pen RPG experience that can help you ride out the wait.

Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t have a release date as yet; we’ll keep you posted.
