Current Marvel Rivals terms prevent negative reviews from players

Though the terms are in the process of being revised.

Current Marvel Rivals terms of service prevent negative reviews from those playing the game, though developer Netease has confirmed those terms are in the process of being revised.

According to streamer Brandon ‘A_Seagull’ Larned, Marvel Rivals current terms “signs away your right to negatively review the game”. A non-disparagement clause specifically states that those who accept the terms cannot provide “subjective negative reviews of the game”.

Since that clause of the the terms of service has been spotlighted, Netease has issued a statement saying it “sincerely apologised” for its “miscommunication and [players’] unpleasant experiences”.

“Our stand is absolutely open for both suggestions and criticisms to improve our game,” Netease continued. “And we [sic] our mission is to make Marvel Rivals better satisfy players by those constructive suggestions.”

Netease continued to say “we are now working on revise [sic] the miscommunication terms from our commitment”.

Marvel Rivals is currently in a closed alpha; it’s planned for a full release on Windows PC.
