Criterion Games down to 16 developers as EA shuffles staff

Criterion Games’ Alex Ward took to Twitter over the weekend to announce that Criterion Games is now “a small team.”

So small, in fact, that only 16 staffers will remain in-house.

Between 60 and 65 Criterion employees were reallocated to the Sweden-based Ghost Games to work on the upcoming Need for Speed: Rivals. It appears as if those staff will not be reallocated to Criterion, responsible for the Burnout series and Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

Ward later revealed that those employees will now form a new development house called Ghost UK.
