Crimson Desert announced with a spectacular gameplay trailer

"No edits or added effects," Pearl Abyss asserts.

Pearl Abyss’ Crimson Desert was announced yesterday at The Game Awards with a fantastic trailer full of actual gameplay.

“All footage is the actual in-game and gameplay,” a press release from the developer later asserted. “No edits or added effects.”

Planned for a late 2021 release on both Windows PC and consoles (we’re assuming current-gen here), Crimson Desert is described as “a massive open world action-adventure game, with content designed for both solo play and multiplayer.”

The 5-minute trailer covers the title’s setting, combat and gameplay through the eyes of its protagonist, Macduff, “a mercenary fighting to reclaim his home amidst the turmoil enveloping the continent of Pywel.”

We’ll have more on Crimson Desert as it comes to light.
