The Crew’s Lead Designer is confident the game won’t experience launch issues

Video game launches of late haven’t been going too well. Ubisoft’s giving out free DLC because of what happened to Assassin’s Creed: Unity at launch, and we’ve yet to receive the PlayStation Plus version of the beleaguered DriveClub. Still, Ubisoft is confident that their racing MMO The Crew won’t have any problems.

The Crew‘s Lead Designer, Serkan Hasan, acknowledged to The Metropolist that any online title could face “potential issues” at launch but said a number of betas have prepared his team.

“For The Crew, we’ve reaped the benefits of a long term beta program, designed specifically to push our infrastructure as far as possible in real world situations, with thousands of players from all over the world playing the game at the same time,” Hasan said.
