Crash Bandicoot 4 Switch release suggested by official website

A Crash Bandicoot 4 Switch release might have been outed by the game’s official website… or Activision Blizzard just made a coding error.

Eagle-eyed Twitter user SunwerPrower stumbled upon a refernece to the Nintendo Switch inside the source code of Activision’s official Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time website, even going as far as taking an image of the code.

While “Nintendo Switch” has since been removed from “PlatformsLabel” code, references to it can still be found within a cached version of the website dated 4 August. While it’s possible that a Switch version of the sequel is planned but not yet announced, it’s equally possible that Activision copied and pasted code from a template into this website and has since removed the erroneous lines. We’ve asked Activison Blizzard for comment.

For the moment, Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time is scheduled for a 2 October release on Xbox One and PS4. We previewed the game here.
