Control Ultimate Edition next-gen release delayed to 2021

Control Ultimate Edition on next-gen consoles has been delayed into 2021, developer Remedy has today advised.

“An update from the development team: Control Ultimate Edition will arrive on next generation platforms early 2021,” Remedy said via the game’s official Twitter account.

“We want the final quality of the game to be awesome, and so we need a bit more time to work on it. Thank you for your understanding and patience!”

The delay well and truly means that Control on Nintendo Switch will be the place to play the title on console with ray-tracing enabled in 2020.

Control is currently available on Windows PC via Epic Games Store and Steam, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch. Control Ultimate Edition can be purchased now on Xbox One and PS4 and will unlock its next-gen equivalent next year.
