Control pre-order bonuses, PS4 Digital Deluxe Edition detailed

A new Control trailer celebrates the game’s 27 August release date, pre-order bonuses and exclusive PS4 Digital Deluxe Edition.

The trailer, below, reinforces the newly-announced release date alongside a confirmation Control is now available to pre-order across Windows PC via the Epic Games Store ($71.99 USD), Xbox One via the Microsoft Store ($79.95 AUD) and PS4 via the PlayStation Store ($84.95 AUD). Those who pre-order will gain access to the Tactical Response Gear outfit for Jesse and a Crafting Resources Pack.

Moreover, those on PS4 will also receive “additional launch day rewards including Rare Service Weapon and Player mods, the Astral Dive suit for Jesse and two themes showcasing the unique world of Control,” 505 Games said in a press release.

If you’re looking for something a little more robust, a special physical Retail Deluxe Edition comes with “Exclusive Metal Packaging and limited-edition art cards” and a Digital Deluxe Edition on PS4 ($114.95 AUD) will come bundled with an additional side-mission (Isolation) and outfit for Jesse. The latter will also come with two expansion packs — The Foundation and AWE — which will be added to Control as post-launch content. Nothing else of the expansions is known at this time.

Control heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 27 August.
