Control 2 will have a smaller budget than Alan Wake 2

But it doesn't make it any lesser.

Control 2 will have a smaller budget than Alan Wake 2, developer Remedy has recently confirmed.

Speaking with Game File, Remedy CEO Tero Virtala confirmed that Control 2‘s budget was €50 million, adding that Alan Wake 2′s budget was “a bit higher” than that.

“I think with that we can create excellent games,” Virtala said, referencing Control 2‘s lower budget. “We are at break-even per game,” if the game sells two million units, he added.

“That then builds the basis that, if we create an excellent game and it happens to sell four million or five million units, then we are really happy,” Virtala concluded.

Before Control 2of course, comes FBC Firebreak — Remedy’s first co-op, first-person shooter will head to PC and consoles next month. Check out a recent preview here.
