Codemasters confirms new “F1 Classics” mode in F1 2013

Codemasters today unveiled a new mode in F1 2013 called “F1 Classics.” The new mode allows players to race in 1980s race cars and circuits, alongside racing celebrities Nigel Mansell, Emerson Fittipaldi, Mario Andretti and Gerhard Berger.

F1 2013 will ship in two versions this year: the standard edition and the special F1 2013: Classic Edition, which includes two additional content packs. One of those packs contains classic 1990s cars, plus drivers like David Coulthard, Jacques Villeneuve, Eddie Irvine and Alain Prost.

If you get the standard version, don’t fret — both additional Classics content packs will be available as DLC after the game’s launch.

RaceNet, the feature which debuted in F1 2012, will also be integrated with F1 2013.

F1 2013 will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this Spring.
