CD Projekt Red details The Witcher 3’s New Game Plus mode

CD Projekt Red today detailed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt‘s upcoming New Game Plus mode.

“Enemies will be stronger, obviously,” CD Projekt Red /community Lead Marcin Momot began in a post on the game’s official forums.

Momot continued to say that XP, money and alchemy recipes will carry over into a New Game Plus playthrough. Most items will as well, with the exception of Gwent cards, quest items, books, letters, usable items and trophies.

Those that finish the original game below level 30 will be bumped up to that level when the begin a New Game Plus playthrough. If above level 30, players will remain at that level.

“You also get a free Clearing Potion at the start so you can reset your skills and try a different build,” Momot asserted.

Finally, New Game Plus can be played on any difficulty.

New Game Plus mode will be added to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as free DLC. The DLC’s release has yet to be dated.
