Supermassive’s Dead by Daylight spin-off The Casting of Frank Stone coming September

Yes, please.

Supermassive’s foray into the Dead by Daylight universe, a narrative title called The Casting of Frank Stone, will head to PC and consoles in September.

Announced back in December of last year, we already know that Supermassive’s latest is set in 1980s Oregon, USA. There, a group of young filmmakers are setting out to film a horror movie, unaware of a real-life evil that’s about to pounce on them.

“Change reality with your choices, unlock new paths with your actions, and discover what horrors your final cut may hold,” said publisher and Dead by Daylight dev, Behaviour Interactive.

“In a story where every move matters, actions can speak louder than words. Explore a cinematic nightmare, testing your wits as you solve environmental puzzles and react to Quick Time Events,” Behaviour continued. “Guide your cast of characters through eerie locations and search for clues that hide the bigger picture.”

Supermassive, of course, is the narrative horror powerhouse behind such titles as The Quarry, The Dark Pictures Anthology, and the original Until Dawn.

If you’re digging what you see, you can expect The Casting of Frank Stone from 3 September across Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
