Carrion mobile release confirmed by Devolver

The horror game slithers to iOS and Android soon.

Carrion mobile release has been announced by Devolver Digital, with players able to pre-register for the horror title on both iOS and Android devices.

Carrion is coming to mobile soon as a ‘try before you buy’ game where players can get their tentacles around the reverse horror action title then unlock the full game with a single in app purchase,” Devolver said in a statement. “No gems, hearts or virtual currency required!”

“Carrion is a reverse horror game in which you assume the role of an amorphous creature of unknown origin,” Devolver continued. “Stalk and consume those that imprisoned you to spread fear and panic throughout the facility. Grow and evolve as you tear down this prison and acquire more and more devastating abilities on the path to retribution.”

“Despite its flaws, Carrion is immensely enjoyable, though I would imagine its grotesque nature will turn some away,” we said back in 2020 when reviewing the PC version of the title. “If you can stomach the gore, it’s well, well worth the play.”

It’s unclear when the title will actually unlock on iOS and Android devices; we’ll keep you informed as we learn more. You can pre-register here on iOS, or pre-register here on Android.

Carrion is already available on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Switch; it heads to iOS and Android soon.
