[UPDATE] Capcom isn’t bringing the Switch version of Monster Hunter XX to the USA

Update: Oops. Looks like there was something lost in translation between Capcom and Gamespot this morning. The publisher has clarified the situation via Twitter:

It’s not the best news, granted, but it’s a lot better than a flat-out no.

Original story: Monster Hunter XX on Nintendo Switch will not be localised for the USA, Capcom today confirmed.

Capcom made the confirmation with Gamespot earlier this morning.

It’s likely, then, that Europe (and therefore Australia) won’t get the title either, but we’re checking with Capcom now.

In May, we learned that Capcom was releasing a Switch version of Monster Hunter XX in Japan. The title also supports cross-save and cross-play with the game’s 3DS version.

We’ll have more on Monster Hunter XX‘s localisation as it’s made clear.
