Capcom income up 300% since last fiscal year

Capcom is rolling in cash, reporting a 300% increase in income as compared to last financial year.

Thanks to strong sales of Resident Evil 7 (Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4), Monster Hunter: World (Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4) and Ultra Street Fighter 2 (Switch), Capcom was able to report an operating income of 7 billion yen, or $64.5 million USD.

Speaking with GamesIndustry, Capcom called Ultra Street Fighter 2 a “smash hit”, though conceded that Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite‘s sales were “soft” by comparison.

Capcom’s forecast for the end of this fiscal year has been upped to 14.5 billion yen ($133.4 million USD), while net sales are predicted to hit 93 billion yen ($855.6 million).

What do you think of Capcom’s success this year?
