Capcom considering more remakes after success of RE2

The runaway appeal of the Resident Evil 2 remake, post-E3 2018, has lead Capcom to consider further remakes, the publisher has declared.

“Regarding remakes and rereleases of titles in our back catalog, we expect to explore these further with a variety of properties as a part of our strategy to utilize our library of IP,” a representative said as part of a recent financial earnings call.

Beyond that, not much else is known. That said, what historic franchises or games would you like to see pulled out for a complete remake? I’d personally love to see Resident Evil 3: Nemesis to go alongside RE2. A new Killer7 wouldn’t go amiss either.

Resident Evil 2 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 25 January 2019. We previewed the game at E3 2018.
