You can play as a woman in the Call of Duty: Black Ops III campaign

In the first time in franchise history, Call of Duty: Black Ops III will let players pick the gender of their characters in campaign.

Players will be able to change the appearance, weapons, and abilities alongside their character’s gender, Treyarch confirmed.

“It’s not just a female head on a male body. It’s a different set of animations for the entire game,” Treyarch’s Mark Lamia said to Engadget.

Both genders will be fully voiced, Treyarch also confimed.

“We knew we were going to do fully unique male, fully unique female for all scenes and all the customization that goes for both. Thank God for Blu-ray, right?” Treyarch’s Jason Blundell added.

That seems like a lot of combinations, based on Black Ops III‘s four-player campaign co-op.

Skipping last-gen, Call of Duty: Black Ops III will be available from 6 November on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
