Call of Duty Modern Warfare has $20 microtransaction to count deaths

Call of Duty Modern Warfare has a $20 microtransaction that will finally allow players to keep track of in-game multiplayer deaths.

While kill counts are easily IDed in-game, death stats aren’t; likely, they’ve been omitted in an attempt to try and kerb toxicity. A new in-game watch called “Time to Die” works around this, however, offering up the vital statistic for a price.

Time to Die is different from other in-game cosmetic watches because it offers up a personal kill and death count per game; all you need to do is look at the watch face for that information… after ponying up the aforementioned $20 USD for the Mother Russia bundle of which it belongs.

It’s unclear if a death stat will be added to in-game leaderboards in future, Polygon notes.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
