Call of Duty: Black Ops III won’t have a campaign on last-gen

Activision Blizzard recently confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops III will not have a campaign in its last-gen iterations on PS3 and Xbox 360.

“The ambitious scope of the 1-4 player coop Campaign design of the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions could not be faithfully recreated on old generation hardware,” reads a statement on the Call of Duty blog.

“Other features built to leverage the next generation hardware like the new Weapon Paint Shop and the new suite of Esports tools will only be available on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.”

All multiplayer and Zombies offerings will feature on the last-gen versions of the game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III will be available from 6 November on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and Windows PC.
