Call of Duty: Black Ops III will have a beta ahead of release

Activision Blizzard has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops III will have a beta ahead of release, the first since Treyarch’s Call of Duty: World at War.

The beta has been described as ‘open’, but pre-ordering the game will be a requirement for entry.

It’s believed that the beta will feature three different maps, though plans have not yet been finalised.

A date for the beta has yet to be confirmed, though Call of Duty: Black Ops III will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC from 6 November.

We’ll report more on the beta when more is known.
