Call of Duty Vanguard install size detailed by Activision, Sledgehammer

Smaller than Black Ops Cold War, thankfully!

The Call of Duty Vanguardinstall size has today been detailed by Activision Blizzard and Sledgehammer Games.

Unlike last year’s Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, which hit nearly 200GB on PS5 and 250GB on PC, Vanguard clocks in under a modest 100GB on consoles.

Here’s the space you’ll need to have on Xbox and PlayStation:

  • Xbox One: 56.6 GB
  • Xbox Series S & X: 61 GB
  • PS4: 93.12 GB (54.65 GB download)
  • PS5: 89.84 GB (64.13 GB download)

Pre-loading of the game begins at 29 October local time.

“Due to new on-demand texture streaming tech, Vanguard’s install size at launch will be significantly below that of previous Call of Duty releases – up to 30% – 50%+ of a file size difference on next-gen console and PC,” a blog post has detailed, explaining why install sizes are so much smaller than last year.

Information on PC install size and pre-load timings will be shared shortly.

Call of Duty Vanguard heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5 from 5 November 2021.
