Call of Duty: Elite to shut down at the end of February

Activision recently announced that the Call of Duty: Elite will be closing up shop at the end of the month.

The service was touted as a premium one that provided in-depth stats, clan-based features for Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 2 alongside social media functionality.

Call of Duty: Elite went from a paid subscription model to a free service in 2012.

The service will cease to exist on Friday 28 February at 10.00 am PT.
