Call of Duty Black Ops 4’s battle royale beta starts in September

Call of Duty Black Ops 4‘s battle royale mode, Blackout, will offer a limited-time beta from mid-September, Activision Blizzard has confirmed.

PS4 owners will get first crack from 10 September; at the moment, it’s unclear when those on Windows PC and Xbox One will get the opportunity to join in.

Blackout will offer up the chance to play in solo, duo or four-player squads, Activision has recently confirmed. It’s not known exactly how many players will take part in a round of Blackout.

We’ll have more on Blackout beta dates as it’s made available.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 12 October. The game’s recently offered closed multiplayer betas across each platform.
