Call of Duty Black Ops 4 beta starts early August

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 beta will take place in early August, Activision and Treyarch have recently confirmed.

This first beta starts up at 3.00 am AEST on 4 August (or check your timezone here), available to those who’ve pre-ordered on PS4. Those on Xbox One and PC will be added a little later at 3.00 am AEST on 11 August. All betas run until 3.00 am AEST on 14 August.

According to Activision, this is “the first of two betas dropping this [northern hemisphere] summer.” A Blackout-specific beta is also planned for September.

An open beta will take place on PC between 3.00 am AEST, 12 August and 3.00 am AEST, 14 August. There will not be open betas on PS4 or Xbox One.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 12 October.
