Call of Duty 2019 will have a campaign, Activision confirms

The unnamed Call of Duty 2019 will feature a campaign, Activision today confirmed.

The next Call of Duty title, in development at Infinity War, will feature “an entirely new campaign, a huge and expansive multiplayer world and some fun co-op gameplay,” newly-appointed President, Rob Kostich said.

The latest Call of Duty, Black Ops 4, did away with a campaign to instead focus on multiplayer, Zombies and the new Blackout battle royale mode. The last Call of Duty title to feature a campaign was 2017’s WWII.

Activision used an investor call today to confirm it would lay off 8% of its workforce while at the same time hiring 20% more developers.
