Bungie is done with Destiny, focusing on Destiny 2

Bungie has stopped work on the original Destiny to wholly focus on Destiny 2, the developer said in a recent update.

In its latest weekly update, Bungie said that the original shooter won’t “get another design pass.” This means that tweaks and balancing has ceased.

“All hands at Bungie are committed to making Destiny 2 the sequel that this community deserves,” said Community Manager DeeJ. “We have a Beta this summer that will demand your bug reports.

“This fall will begin an entirely new cycle of updates for a brand new game that we think will be the best answer to the feedback you’ve give us since the original launch of Destiny.”

It’s possible Bungie will return back to the original Destiny after the beta and launch of its sequel.

There’s one small exception; Bungie said it’s looking into missing statistics lost during 21-24 May.

Destiny 2 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 in September.
