Borderlands GOTY Edition free-to-play on PC, Xbox One

Borderlands GOTY Edition is free-to-play for a limited time on both Windows PC via Steam and Xbox One, Gearbox Software has confirmed.

Both platforms are offering the free-to-play period from right this second, with the window of opportunity closing at the following times:

  • Xbox One: Now until 4.59 pm AEDT, 22 April
  • Windows PC: Now until 2.59 am AEST, 24 April

As with most free-to-play offers, and progression will carry over from the trial into the main game should a player wish to purchase the full game following their experience.

Borderlands Game of the Year Edition is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. It heads to Switch next month.
