Borderlands 3 Stadia release an old version from October

The Borderlands 3 Stadia release isn’t up to date, actually reflecting the title as it appeared back in October of this year.

2K made the confirmation earlier this week, saying Borderlands 3 on Stadia would only include patches and content updates for the game that were released on or priot to 24 Octtober. Content like Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot and the Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite are both expected on Stadia in early 2020.

It’s pretty hilarious when you consider Stadia’s marketing herald’s the platform’s instant-accessibility and a lack of requirement to update a game before you play it. While that’s all well and good, we’d take an update or two over a game stuck in the past.

What do you make of the situation?

Borderlands 3 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Stadia.
