Blizzard’s cracking down on Overwatch porn

Overwatch is ridiculously popular. So much so, there’s even a subreddit dedicated to its stars in, um, let’s just say compromising positions.

We’re talking about Overwatch porn (NSFW link, obviously). There’s a subreddit dedicated to Overwatch porn.

That is, there used to be. Redditor spornm has taken to the game’s mainstream subreddit to post a couple take down notices he’s received. He’s not alone, either — security firms Irdeto and EasySol are beginning to issue notices to other users who’ve ripped the game’s character models and created adult films with them using Source Filmmaker.

The Overwatch porn subreddit has been made private in an attempt to keep the videos protected, but since a majority seem to be hosted on PornHub, we don’t think it’ll help.

What do you think of the take downs? Should users be allowed to make porn clips with video game stars, or is Blizzard right to protect its intellectual property?
