BioWare says Mass Effect 4 character reveal was “a mistake”

BioWare's shop is not likely a favourite on the Citadel...

BioWare has said Mass Effect 4 character reveal — made through a product listing on its store — was “a mistake”.

Spoilers may follow, so continue at your own risk.

Still here? Okay then! Yesterday’s potential reveal that Commander Shepard would return for BioWare’s upcoming sequel was “a mistake” according to Project Director Michael Gamble, who asserted the listing was produced by those who “aren’t familiar with the game.”

The listing has since been changed to remove any mention of Shepard and a return following the events of Mass Effect 3.

Do you believe Gamble or do you think this is BioWare moving to protect story beats? Sound off in the comments area below.

We’ll have more on Mass Effect 4 when it’s made available.
