Behaviour cancels Project T, a PvE shooter

The game wielded "unsatisfactory overall results".

Dead by Daylight‘s Behaviour Interactive has announced the cancellation of Project T, a 1-4 player PvE shooter set in the larger DbD world.

The cancellation comes after a small playtest held earlier in the year.

“We wanted to have players involved in it as early as possible, which lead to the creation of the Insiders Program,” Behaviour said. “This approach has allowed us to get very early validation on the project’s core design and gameplay, which is something that often comes much further into the production of a game.”

“Following the playtest in July,” Behaviour continued, “we ran a thorough internal risk assessment from a product and commercial perspective. While a number of players expressed appreciation for what they played, unfortunately, the outcome of this deep analysis yielded unsatisfactory overall results.”

News of Project T came with that of two other spin-offs in the Dead by Daylight universe. While What the Fog was a limited-time title, The Casting of Frank Stone — a Supermassive-created narrative adventure — has just been released.
