The Witcher 3: Here’s how to ‘carry over’ (or make up) your Witcher 2 save game

Though The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt follows, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (well, duh), that doesn’t mean you’ve played the game. Hell, you might be a PlayStation die-hard and want to move to PS4 rather than try to cope with some Xbox save transfer.

Whatever your situation, it seems CD Projekt Red has you covered. Rather than use a transfer system, players are able to describe their Witcher 2 experience (or, desired outcomes) in a conversation very early on in the game.

This video explains how it works, with obvious Witcher 2 spoilers and the faintest of Witcher 3 ones.

There you have it.

We reviewed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt last week. The game is available today on Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC.
