Battlefield 6 release date set for 10 October

EA dropped the release date alongside multiplayer details.

Battlefield 6 will head to PC and consoles on 10 October, EA has today advised, alongside news of multiplayer in a new trailer.

“Wage all-out war with infantry and vehicle combat, class-based squad play, and cutting-edge audiovisual immersion,” EA said. “Where Fighter Jets, Tanks, skydiving RPGS, Heavy Artillery, and high-intensity infantry combat become one.

“Demolish your surroundings for a strategic advantage with Tactical Destruction. Turn your vehicle into a wrecking ball, bury a squad under a ceiling, or create new paths to victory,” EA continued. “Battlefield’s new Kinesthetic Combat System makes you more connected to your soldier and environment than ever before. With overhauled gunplay and tactical movement, from crouch sprint to drag and revive, every shot and movement is more instinctual and precise.”

In terms of game modes, a livestreamed event confirmed that Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination, King of the Hill, Conquest, Rush, and Breakthrough will return, bolstered by a new mode called Escalation.

EA also provided select outlets with hands-on access to the title… but I guess they’re still mad at us for calling Battlefield 2042 for what it was.

Expect Battlefield 6 from 10 October on Windows PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the EA app, alongside Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
