"Which one of you loaded up my rifle with blanks?"
It’s not just you, and you’re not going crazy: Battlefield 6 hit registration is currently bugged, with players sometimes feeling as if they’re shooting blanks rather than full-fledged bullets. Thankfully, Battlefield Studios is already working on a fix.
The best demonstration of broken hit registration comes by way Redditor KaiKamakasi, who posted a thread titled, “Alright, which one of you loaded up my rifle with blanks?”.

Thankfully, DICE game designer Lorian Le Bihan took to social media to confirm that he and Battlefield Studios are “currently investigating this issue.”
“It is commonly observed with the target being visibly hit (blood splatters) but no damage is confirmed in the HUD (no hit indicator etc…),” Le Bihan added.
Fellow Redditors were not as helpful, with Squat_Cobbler89 writing, “Must be your gaming chair.”
“The Beta bug was actually fixed but we’ve identified another issue (two in fact) that impacts dispersion/bloom in an unintended way and will cause you to have more dispersion at times,” Le Bihan continued in a later reply. “The team is working on this and we’re looking at general balance/tuning of dispersion too.”
Battlefield 6 is available on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5. We reviewed it here.
