Battlefield 6 battle royale Redsec is free-to-play from tomorrow

Set those alarms!

A free-to-play Battlefield 6 battle royale called Redsec will be available tomorrow, EA and Battlefield Studios have today revealed.

Much like Call of Duty Warzone, the battle royale will be free-to-play, and available from 2.00 am AEDT tomorrow, 29 October, here in Australia. You can check that time in your own timezone here.

Beyond that, we know nothing of Redsec, but assume it will feature classes and weapons. What a shot in the dark, eh?

A launch trailer is above, but debuts at the same time as Redsec itself. Coincidentally, so does the start of Battlefield 6 Season 1.

Hamish liked (but didn’t love) Battlefield 6 in his review, so maybe Redsec will do something for him.

Battlefield 6 does enough, but it fails to retake the top step through its own power; it’s not as forgettable as other recent entries in the series, but it could have been so much more,” he wrote.

Battlefield 6 is available on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
