Battlefield 5 delayed to November, EA and DICE confirm

Battlefield 5 has been delayed to November, EA and DICE have today confirmed.

The delay will be used to polish the game, a post on the game’s blog reads.

“We’re moving our launch date,” DICE wrote. “We’re going to take the time to continue to make some final adjustments to core gameplay, and to ensure we really deliver on the potential of Tides of War.”

In the meantime, DICE has promised “meaningful improvements to the core gameplay experience, including adjusting the gameplay tempo, improving soldier visibility and reducing player friction” that can be experienced in the game’s open beta, available from 6 September.

Players can now expect Battlefield 5 from 20 November on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
