Battlefield 2042 sniper rifle better than its only anti-tank rocket launcher

Big oof.

Battlefield 2042‘s lone anti-tank rocket launcher has been bested by a sniper rifle, a Redditor has recently discovered.

SheroxXx took to the social media platform with a video that shows the NWT-50 sniper rifle proving a better option than the M5 rocket launcher.

In the test (below), the M5 needs three shots to fully destroy a tank — a process that takes 13.97 seconds — while the NWT-50 sniper rifle can do it in four shots and 7.8 seconds total.

“I’ve destroyed more vehicles in 3 rounds with NWT than in 40 hours with M5,” the Redditor added. “There’s absolutely no way someone playtested this and said ‘this is fine, lets go with it’.”

Battlefield 2042 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5. We reviewed it (and were quite disappointed) here.
