Battlefield 2042 Season 2 Master of Arms coming 30 August

Are you ready to jump (back) in?

Battlefield 2042 Season 2 is called “Master of Arms” and will debut on 30 August, EA and DICE have today confirmed.

We’ve got a rundown of what to expect below.

First, a new map called Stranded will be introduced alongside a new Specialist named Crawford. Stranded is in Panama and revolves around “a desert lake drained of water,” according to EA. “Fight around and inside a beached container ship housing an illicit arms trading center.”

Meanwhile, Crawford will sport a mounted Vulcan staionary minigun — that can be controlled by anyone on the battlefield, be they friend or foe — and can revive squad members with gadget ammo.

Three new weapons will be introduced in the form of the AM40 carbine, Avancys LMG and PF51 cross SMG-pistol, and players will also gain access to the new concussion grenade gadget. Finally, two new vehicles will be introduced in the form of the EBLC-RAM four-seater and Polaris RZR lightweight buggy.

Season 2 will also come with a new 100-tier Battle Pass with both free and premium unlocks; the paid version of the Battle Pass will set you back $10 USD. Season 1 unlocks will still be obtainable by completing assignments.

Battlefield 2042 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5; we reviewed it here.
