Battlefield 1: DICE to release monthly updates based on player feedback

DICE has taken to the Battlefield 1 blog to detail future plans for the shooter.

First, the game will begin receiving monthly updates from this point onward.

“We’re devoted to bringing you the best gaming experience in Battlefield 1. In the past, we did this in the form of seasonal patches. Considering all we have in store for Battlefield 1, we’ve decided to move to monthly updates. With this new tempo, we’re going to bring you more of what you want, faster than ever, DICE’s Aleksander Grøndal and Andrew Gulotta wrote.

“Turning your feedback into battle-tested improvements that everyone will love is important to us. We’ll utilize the Community Test Environment to iterate on your ideas and find the best ways to make our favorite game even better.”

The game’s upcoming Spring Update will introduce Platoons to the game. This will be followed by updates that will tweak gameplay as needed.

Finally, the update included a tease of upcoming expansion content. More on that can be found here.

Battlefield 1 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. We recently reviewed its “They Shall Not Pass” expansion here.
