Battleborn’s multiplayer goes free-to-play on PC, consoles

Battleborn‘s multiplayer component will go free-to-play, Gearbox Software recently announced.

The Battleborn Free Trial is now available on Windows PC and Xbox One around the world, and on PS4 in North America. It then heads to PS4 in Europe, Australia and Japan on 13 June.

The free title includes full access to multiplayer offerings, “without any time limits, level caps or planned end date,” Gearbox advised.

Six player characters will be available to select, rotated in and out weekly. Progress will be saved between each playable character.

Sadly, Achievements and Trophies cannot be earned in the Free Trial; Gearbox notes that the game’s full version will need to be purchased to obtain those items.
