Battle.net update drops in time for Destiny 2

A huge Battle.net update has been rolled out by Blizzard, just in time for the PC release of Destiny 2.

A new Social tab offers functionality similar to that of Discord; you’re now able to chat with friends across different games. Text and voice chat options are offered across groups, and text messages can even be send to friends who are also offline.

The update also allows for gifting of specific items, each tagged with a “gift-enabled” Tag in the Shop. Available items include Hearthstone card packs and Overwatch loot boxes.

New avatar options are also available, including images from Destiny 2.

Finally, the new update will let you appear offline to friends if you so desire.

The Battle.net app is available on desktop, iOS and Android.

Happy Destiny 2 launch day, PC gamers!
