Epic Games Store partial refunds will align with recent discounts

The Epic Games Store will now issue partial refunds to customers who’ve purchased a game just before it gets discounted.

The news comes by way of a tweet from Studio Mayday co-founder, Joshua Boggs, who was informed of a refund via email.

“You recently placed orders from the Epic Games Store,” the email began. “The price of the game(s) you purchased were recently lowered, so we can issuing partial refunds for the difference(s).”

I’ve clearly been around for too long because I find this refund for a discount I missed on the ⁦[Epic Games Store] absolutely mind blowingly generous,” Boggs tweeted. “This is incredible?”

Epic Games has yet to detail its partial refund policy, but we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.

Users can grab Grand Theft Auto 5 for free from the Epic Games Store right now.
