Bandai Namco selling DirectX 9 and 11 versions of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin

Bandai Namco has confirmed it will sell two versions of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin on Windows PC: a DirectX 9 version alongside a DirectX 11 one.

Detailed here, the DX9 version will sell for $40 USD, and the DX11 version for $50 USD.

Moreover, those that own the Dark Souls II core game on Steam — also known as the DirectX version — can upgrade to Scholar of the First Sin for $30 USD.

Those that own the core game and all of its DLC — still, we’re talking DX9 — can upgrade for $20 USD.

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin is available from 2 April.
