Bandai Namco gets a new logo… and it looks familiar

If it looks like Twitch...

Bandai Namco has unveiled a new logo and mission statement (or “Purpose” using the company’s own terminology) and fans have been quick to notice it resembles that of a major livestreaming platform.

We’re talking about Twitch, people. See above.

Bandai Namco’s new purpose is “fun for all into the future”, according to a new statement.

“Bandai Namco exists to share dreams, fun, and inspiration with people around the world,” a statement continued. “Connecting people and societies in the enjoyment of uniquely entertaining products and services, we’re working to create a brighter future for everyone.”

While some think the colour scheme and even the rounded corners of the Bandai Namco speech bubble are very Twitch-like, the company says the new design pays homage to “Japan’s manga culture that has become so popular everywhere.”

What do you make of Bandai Namco’s new design?
