Aussie-made LEGO Party uses minifigures to take on Mario and friends

Move over, Mario Party...

Move over Mario Party, as the Aussie-made LEGO Party is looking to carve out some space in the party game genre.

The title will include around 60 mini-games, with players racing around a virtual game board in pursuit of Golden Bricks.

“In LEGO Party experience nonstop action, humor, surprises, and hours and hours of play, all crafted through the medium of the beloved LEGO brick,” a press release from SMG and Fictions reads.

“Whether you’re playing solo, with your friends on the couch, or online with cross-platform multiplayer (up to 4 players), get ready to customize your minifigure and compete in a variety of awesome minigames to collect those coveted Golden Bricks.”

This will mark the first title to be published by Fictions, “the publishing home for titles previously signed under Private Division”.

We’ll have more on Lego Party as it’s made available. The title is planned for a 2025 release on Windows PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, and Switch.

We disclose that frequent Stevivor writer Stuart Gollan is a former employee of SMG Studio; as such, he has not contributed in any way to coverage of the studio or its titles.
