Assassin’s Creed Valhalla exclusive to Epic Games Store, Uplay on PC

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store and Uplay on PC at launch, bypassing the ever-popular Steam in the process.

The news really shouldn’t come as a surprise — a publishing deal struck in 2019 between Epic and Ubisoft ensures that PC titles will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store for at least a timed period. The first title to launch on PC as an Epic Games Store and Uplay exclusive was Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is planned for a holiday 2020 release on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Stadia where available. Check out our deep dive on what developer Ubisoft Montreal has shared about the game here.

Update: We incorrectly reported that Valhalla would be an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC. This post has been changed to reflect retail reality.
